How to Play Tongits

Tongits Game Rules:

1. Setup: Each player receives 12 cards (13 for the dealer). The remaining deck forms the draw pile, with one card placed face-up to start the discard pile.

2. Objective: Form valid combinations of sets (three or four of a kind) and runs (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit) to reduce your hand value.

3. Gameplay: On your turn, draw from the deck or pick up the top discard card. You may then meld combinations, add to existing melds, or discard one card.

4. Winning: Win by "Tongits" (emptying your hand), having the lowest hand value when the deck runs out, or by successfully challenging ("fighting") an opponent who claims to have the lowest hand.

5. Scoring: Card values: Face cards (J, Q, K) = 10 points, Aces = 1 point, numbered cards = face value. The goal is to minimize points in your hand.
